Tools and plugins used (including web analysis tools and social media)

Google services

We use services of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, Tel.: +353 1 543 1000, Fax: +353 1 686 5660, E-Mail: support-deutschland(at)google.com ("Google") on our website.

When using Google services, data may be transferred to the parent company Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google LLC has joined the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and is certified in accordance with it, so that data is transferred to the USA on the basis of the European Commission's adequacy decision of 10 July 2023 (Art. 45 para. 1 GDPR). In addition, Google has contractually undertaken, on the basis of the so-called EU standard data protection clauses, to ensure that, when transferring personal data from the European Economic Area, the recipients comply with a data protection standard that essentially corresponds to the European standard (Art. 46 para. 2 lit. c GDPR). These standard contractual clauses represent an additional guarantee under data protection law, on the basis of which a transfer to third countries such as the USA can take place (Art. 46 para. 2 lit. c GDPR). Please note, however, that we cannot guarantee that Google will be able to fulfil these contractual obligations in every case.

Further information about Google can be found in the privacy policy available at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de

The individual services used are described below

Google Analytics

We use the analysis and statistics tool "Google Analytics" on our website. With the help of Google Analytics, the use of our website can be analysed statistically. This allows us to understand how users reach our website, what content and areas they are particularly interested in and what actions they take on our site.
Google collects the following categories of data in particular:

  • Abbreviated (anonymised) IP address,
  • The website accessed,
  • the website from which the user came to the accessed page (so-called referral URL) and the type of referrer (e.g. search engine, social network, link),
  • search terms with which users found our website,
  • the subpages that are opened from the page accessed
  • the duration of the visit to the website,
  • the frequency of visits to the website,
  • information on the target group (so-called persona),
  • Location data (geographical region, country, city),
  • language settings,
  • browser, operating system, end device, screen resolution,
  • predefined actions (conversions), e.g. clicking on advertising banners, downloading information material,
  • Click path on the page, e.g. entry and exit points, order in which the user accesses page content.

Google deletes the user data collected with the help of Google Analytics after 14 months at the latest.

The legal basis for data processing is your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR).

In addition to making the appropriate settings in your browser, you can also prevent the collection of data by Google Analytics cookies by using the browser plugin provided by Google for this purpose: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

Campaign Manager (Google Doubleclick)

We use the "Google Campaign Manager" tool from the Google Marketing Platform. Google Campaign Manager uses cookies to display ads that are relevant to users, to optimise advertising campaign performance or to prevent a user from seeing the same ads more than once.

In addition, Google Campaign Manager can use cookie IDs to record so-called conversions that are related to the adverts displayed. This includes, for example, when a user sees an advert in the Google advertising network and later visits the advertiser's website with the same browser and performs a certain action there.

Due to the marketing tool used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection to Google's servers. By integrating Google Ads into our website, Google receives the information that you have called up the corresponding part of our website or clicked on an advert from us. If you are registered with a Google service, Google can assign the visit to your account if you are logged into it. Even if you are not registered with Google or have not logged in, it is possible that Google will collect and store your IP address.

The legal basis for data processing is your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR).

Google Ads (Google AdWords)

We use "Google Ads" to show you adverts on Google and other third-party websites. The adverts are delivered by Google via so-called "ad servers". For this purpose, we use cookies that can be used to record certain parameters to measure the success of adverts, such as the number of times they are displayed or clicked by users. If you access our website via a Google advert, Google Ads will store a cookie on your end device. As a rule, the cookie ID, the number of ad impressions, the last impression and opt-out information (marking that the user no longer wishes to be addressed) are stored as analysis values for this cookie.

These cookies enable Google to recognise your internet browser. If a user visits certain subpages of a Google Ads customer's website and the cookie stored on their device has not yet expired, Google and the customer can recognise that the user has clicked on a specific ad and has been redirected to the customer's site. A different cookie is assigned to each Google Ads customer. We ourselves do not collect and process any personal data as a result of the aforementioned advertising measures. Google only provides us with statistical analyses. These analyses allow us to recognise which of the advertising measures used are particularly effective. We do not receive any further data from the use of the advertising material; in particular, we cannot identify users on the basis of this information.

We may also show you adverts on other websites in the Google advertising network after you have visited our website (so-called retargeting). This is done by means of cookies stored in your browser, which are used by Google to record your user behaviour when you visit our website.

6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR). Further information can be found in Google's privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de

Google AdSense

We use the online advertising service Google AdSense, through which you can be presented with adverts tailored to your interests. We are interested in showing you adverts that may be of interest to you in order to make our website more interesting for you. For this purpose, statistical information about you is collected and processed by our advertising partners. These adverts can be recognised by the reference "Google adverts" in the respective advert.

When you visit our website, Google receives the information that you have accessed our website. Google uses a web beacon to set a cookie on your computer. Your data is transferred to the USA and analysed there. If you are logged in with your Google account, your data can be directly assigned to it. If you do not wish your data to be associated with your Google profile, you must log out. It is possible that this data may be passed on to Google's contractual partners, third parties and authorities.

The legal basis for data processing is your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR).

This website has also activated Google AdSense adverts from third-party providers. The aforementioned data may be transferred to these third-party providers (named at https://support.google.com/dfp_sb/answer/94149)].

Google Tag Manager

We use the "Google Tag Manager" tool on our website, with which advertisers can manage website tags and thus the setting of cookies.

Google Tag Manager is designed as a cookie-free domain and only implements tags. Tags are small code elements on the website that are used, among other things, to measure traffic and visitor behaviour, record the impact of online advertising and social channels, determine the target groups of our website and test and optimise the website. With the help of Google Tag Manager, we can control the setting of such cookies on our site.

No additional cookies are set by Google Tag Manager and no personal data is collected. Google Tag Manager triggers other tags that may collect personal data, but does not access this data itself. If a deactivation has been made or an objection declared at domain or cookie level, it will remain in place for all tracking tags if they are set using Google Tag Manager.

The legal basis for data processing is your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR).

Google Fonts

We use external fonts from Google on this website. Google Fonts. These web fonts are integrated via a server call. This may also be a Google server in the USA. The server is informed which of our web pages you have visited. The IP address of your end device is also processed by Google.

The purpose of using Google Fonts is the standardised display of fonts. The legal basis is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR.

The data collected by Google through the use of Google Fonts is not processed by us.

Google Maps

We integrate the maps of the Google Maps service. This allows us to show you interactive maps directly on our website and enables you to use the map function conveniently.

If you call up the Google Maps component integrated on our website, Google stores a cookie on your end device via your Internet browser and processes the following data

  • The operating system
  • Information about the browser type and version used
  • Information about your internet service provider
  • Your IP address
  • Date and time of access
  • Websites from which you accessed our website
  • Websites that you access via our website

This takes place regardless of whether Google provides a user account through which you are logged in or whether no user account exists. If you are logged in to Google, your data can be assigned to your account. If you do not wish your data to be associated with your Google profile, you must log out.

Google stores your data as usage profiles and uses them for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or the customised design of its website.

Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to provide personalised advertising.

We use Google Maps to show you maps on our website, in particular for directions.

The legal basis for processing is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR.

YouTube

We include videos and photos on our website that are stored on "YouTube". YouTube is a platform operated by Google.

Google collects your IP address, the date and time of access and information about the subpage of our website you have visited and the video you have accessed. This takes place regardless of whether you are logged into a YouTube user account. A connection to the Google advertising network is also established.

We use the extended data protection mode here, which, according to the provider, only triggers the storage of user information when the videos are played. This means that as long as you only access one of our web pages with an embedded YouTube video without playing the video, no data is transmitted to Google. Data is only transmitted when you start a video.

Cookies are set to save your desired settings regarding the playback of videos and the transmission of data to Google. These cookies contain pseudonymous data (e.g. cookie ID) for the purpose of recognising the browser.

If you are logged in to YouTube at the same time, Google can assign your video view on our site to your YouTube account and use it for the purpose of personalised advertising. If you do not want your YouTube profile to be associated with your visit to our site, you must log out of your YouTube account before activating the YouTube plugin.

The legal basis for data processing is your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR).

Hubspot

We use services from Hubspot Inc. on our websites. HubSpot is a software company from the USA with a branch in Ireland. Contact: HubSpot, 2nd Floor 30 North Wall Quay, Dublin 1, Ireland, Phone: +353 1 5187500.

  • Contact forms
  • Newsletter software
  • Tracking and analysis

So-called "web beacons" are used and "cookies" are also set, which are stored on your computer.

The web beacons and cookies used by Hubspot enable us to analyse your use of the website. Hubspot analyses the information collected (e.g. IP address, geographical location, type of browser, duration of visit and pages viewed) on our behalf to generate reports about your visit to our website.

If you have subscribed to a newsletter, we can also use Hubspot to link a user's visits to our websites with personal details (in particular name/email address) on the basis of consent given, thus recording them on a personalised basis and informing users individually and in a targeted manner about preferred topics. If you generally do not want Hubspot to collect data, you can prevent the storage of cookies at any time by changing your browser settings accordingly. Your declarations of consent and the times of consent and revocation are stored. We use this data to show you only the content for which you have given us your consent and to be able to prove that we have obtained your consent.

The legal basis for data processing is our legitimate interest in obtaining and documenting consent for the use of third-party services (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR).

We also use Hubspot as a customer relationship management system for processing contract data. Here we store all data that you have transmitted to us to initiate or conclude a contract, in particular your name, your contact details, any payment details and the products purchased. The legal basis for data processing is our legitimate interest in the organisational management and maintenance of our customer contacts (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR).

The respective plug-in provider stores the data collected about you as usage profiles and uses these for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or customising its website. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to display customised advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact the respective plug-in provider to exercise this right. We offer you the opportunity to interact with the social networks and other users via the plug-ins so that we can improve our offering and make it more interesting for you as a user.

The legal basis for the use of the plug-ins is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
